Every month we spotlight a local home service provider whom we partner and ask them to offer up some useful tips for homeowners. This month it’s our friends at Your Service Professional, a locally owned and operated heating, cooling, and plumbing contracting company that services residential and commercial customers. Serving the Triangle area and surrounding communities, Your Service Professional is the only HVAC and plumbing company where all technicians are licensed and insured.

Since winter is upon, we asked Your Service Professional to provide some tips for preparing your HVAC system for the winter. They suggested:

-Test your thermostat to make sure your HVAV is working properly. Turn the heat on and set the thermostat to your preferred winter-time temperature. If the HVAC never reaches that temperature or takes too long, you may have an issue.

-Make a habit of changing your air filters monthly. Mark the date on the corner of the filter with a magic marker to help remind you the last time it was changed.

-Make sure nothing is blocking your fresh-air-supply and return-air vents. Furniture, bedding, toys and the like can obstruct air intake and make the HVAC unit work harder.

At Express Yourself Paint, we like to think we’re more than the number one painting contractor in the Triangle. We like to think of ourselves as a resource for our customers and their home service needs. We’re proud to partner with Your Service Professional and offer them as a resource to our customers.
