Each episode is a brief look into something that is changing the face of Raleigh and someone helping to lead that change. This week, the podcast duo spoke with Danya Perry, Equitable Economic Development Manager for Wake County Economic Development.
Danya was born and raised in New Bern, North Carolina. He earned a BA in Political Science and an MA in Public Administration at NC State. He’s been living in Wake County since 1994 and is now raising his family here.
During this episode, Danya speaks about the importance of access and resources in the community. Danya is making sure Raleigh and Wake County’s growth benefits all people. How does he goes about this? Listening and understanding everyone’s pain points. He also explains that your zip code does not define you.
One example of how he is helping our community grow, is starting with small businesses and entrepreneurship. He tells us about his time in Southeast Raleigh.
